One television. Two viewing positions.
This is the master suite of a luxury home, with the bathtub in one area and the bed in another. The client wanted to watch the same television from either.
The usual answer is a swivel bracket you pull round by hand. The client didn't want that.
Movement, load and cable clearances.
A moving screen needs clear space through its whole range of travel, a wall that will take the load at full extension, and cabling with enough slack to follow the screen without snagging. With a bath involved, the electrical installation also has to suit the bathroom location.
Future Automation, driven by Control4.
We installed a Future Automation motorised TV mount and set it up in Control4 with preset positions. The client chooses where they want to watch from, and the mount moves the television to face that spot.
Out of the way when it's off.
When the television is turned off, the mount tucks it neatly back against the wall, so it isn't in the way. One screen serves the whole suite, moved by a button rather than by hand.
